Where is Your Garden?
The series of works Where is Your Garden? is presented through branches of various fruit trees made from felt and fabric on a wire frame. This series is a collaboration between two textile artists, Yelena Beliaev and Natali Golub, both of whom have experience with emigration. Through the nostalgic image of the garden, the artists address the theme of self-identity in the situation of being detached from home and everything associated with it. The garden is a collective image that accumulates various memories and cultural codes, forming the foundation of each person’s identity.
