The art object consisting of 30 felted eggs in white and rainbow colors, with a metal pin inlaid with the date 30.11.23. The eggs are placed in ceramic stands, forming a square and imitating an egg carton.
The concept is based on the absurdity and falsehood of the modern world. Fragile in reality, the felt egg cannot break. The fake shine of the inscription will easily be replaced by rust. The stand, which serves as protection, only does so conditionally, as it can easily break with careless handling.
The work alludes to numerous cultural codes—social, religious, folkloric—on which the artist’s identity has been formed. Through the image of the egg carton, the artist explores changes in the paradigm of her identity. This work is about the destruction of the familiar and the difficulty of accepting new realities.
